Seiko KS Vanac Special 5256-6000 Blue Frosted dial from October 1973.

Exceptionally rare reference from the Vanac line with unique crafted frosted - stardust dial. An absolute gem. Cal. 5256A is an automatic chronometer movement with day and date produced by Daini Seikosha for use in Seiko Vanac and King Seiko watches from 1973 through 1976. The watch is in fabulous condition with only minor signs of wear, no significant dings or marks around the case. All the polished surfaces and the edges of the case are sharp. The dial, hands, hour markers and the logos (the KS logo is golden) are in immaculate condition. Also is the bluish tint multi faceted genuine Seiko crystal which compliments the dial in an elegant way. The 5256 hi-beat movement is extremely clean and accurate. It was recently serviced by a professional Seiko specialist and it will keep accuracy within +-2s/day. The kanji/english calendar can be adjusted manually and automatically with no issues. It comes on a solid stainless steel bracelet with original Vanac embossed logo that will accommodate a wrist up to 21cm.

Seiko recently reissued a Vanac-inspired model, borrowing some of the case design, but let’s be honest, nothing beats the originals.
